To love baklava is a life-long romance
A leading local producer of a cosmopolitan sweet
We come from a place with a 400 year long tradition in baklava making. Mountain gorges and rivers, sheep and goat grazing the slopes, orchards and wheat in the valleys, a beautiful lake, an ancient Greek theatre, churches, mosques and synagogues…, the elements and the people paint the picture of this border land in green and blue colours. This is where the Ottoman East met the European West, so local recipes, like the baklava-kadayef, were always more honeyed and fruity, lighter and less sweet compared to their Middle-Eastern counterparts.
We replaced the vegetable oils with premium milk butter, we balanced the mixes of nuts and spices and we streamlined the production to match great craftsmanship with high level quality assurance and modern packaging for maximum convenience. Over the years our handmade baklava was introduced to visitors in Ioannina, Athens, Santorini, Crete, Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes and other destinations in Greece, before traveling to Austria, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE, the UK, and the USA.
